SIQUIJOR March 14 (PIA)—The Civil Service Commission (CSC)-Siquijor Field Office invites public servants to a series of live-out seminars which the agency will conduct in the province this year.

CSC-Siquijor provincial director Atty. Gina Crucio said one of these seminars is Values Orientation Workshop that will be conducted on April 2-3, 2012 with a training fee of P1,800 per person.

This enhanced course seeks to clarify the participants’ long-existing values, enhance their commitment to chosen values and to formulate an action plan that supports their commitments.

Grucio hopes that this seminar will cause a positive ripple effect in improving the organizational culture of the respective agencies.

Competency Enhancement for Government Drivers is set on May 29, 2012 with a training fee of P900/person. It aims to better equip the drivers with the knowledge and skills needed for the effective discharge of their role, while updating them on the laws and regulations affecting their stay in the service and the consequences of any violation thereof.

Crucio said drivers in the government service play a vital role in the attainment of the goals of their respective agencies.

As public servants they are expected to set an example in observing traffic rules, taking care of the natural environment, and ensuring the safety of their passengers and that of the other motorists they encounter everyday, she said.

Crucio also said that government drivers must be the most safety-conscious and most courteous drivers on the road.

Public Service Ethics and Accountability is scheduled on July 5-6. It aims to help public servants involve and motivate others to work to bring desired changes in the work culture.

Enhanced Training on Appointments Preparation is also set on September 25-26 with a training fee of P1,800 per participant.

This seminar will provide participants the knowledge on laws and rules on the correct preparation of appointments, pressing issues and all updates thereon.

Finally, Frontline Services Management Seminar Workshop is set on November 27-28 with a training fee of P1,800 person.

The course will equip participants with the right blend of knowledge, skills and attitude to deliver, manage and sustain effective frontline services in their respective agencies.

Venue for all the training offered is at the CSC Training Hall, Larena, Siquijor and the registration fees that are collected cover snacks, meals, hand-outs and related expenses, said Crucio.

Interested offices are advised to submit their nomination forms in advance since limited slots are reserved on a first come, first served basis.
