PNP scores public participation to solve crime
By Rizalie A. Calibo

SIQUIJOR, Oct 12 (PIA)—Public participation is vital in solving crime.

This was the statement made by Larena Police Station PPO1 Richel Perez during the monthly gathering of the clients and aides of the Parole and Probation Office here.

He said everyone can contribute to a peaceful environment and urged everyone to take advantage of the technology in reporting to the police crimes or any suspicious actions within their barangays immediately.

Another way of solving crime, he said is controlling emotions. He reminded especially the parole and probation clients to think first before committing any act rather than be overcome by emotions.

"Each of us has role in crime prevention, it is necessary that we exercise our role because we will never know who the next victim will be--our neighbor or maybe our loved ones," he said. (mbcn/RAC/PIA-Siquijor)
