TESDA Siquijor garners awards in reg'l skills competition

SIQUIJOR, Dec. 9 (PIA)--The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Siquijor Provincial Office is proud having garnered awards during the regional skills competition held in Park Mall Cebu City last week.
Four competitors were sent to represent the province in the two contest qualifications, Food and Beverage Services NC II and Commercial Cooking NC II respectively.
Annabel Macahidhid was declared champion for the Food and Beverage Services NC II and her co-competitor, Aurea G. Canoy got the second place.
Ava J. Perez a delegate for Commercial Cooking NC II was proclaimed the second place winner.
Another delegate was Shaira May L. Arcamo for Commercial Cooking NC II.
Coaches during the competition were Rosebeth Ann Gumahad, for the Food and Beverage Services NC II and Brenda Bation for the Commercial Cooking NC II.
All the four delegates are graduates of Lazi National Agricultural School and National Certificate II holders.
Annabel Macahidhid is currently a food attendant of the Royal Cliff Beach Resort in Maite, San Juan, Siquijor for two years now. She is an LNAS graduate and holds National Certificate II in Housekeeping, Food and Beverage Services, Bartending and Commercial Cooking.
Aurea Canoy, on the other hand, has just graduated her training in FBS NC II and got her National Certificate II last October 2011 and presently enrolled in Bartending NC II.
Ava Perez and Shaira May Arcamo are both graduates and NC II holders in Commercial Cooking. Presently they are enrolled in Food and Beverage Services NC II.
With them in the competition were the heads of TESDA, OIC-provincial Director Engr. Samuel Jordan and LNAS administrator Engr. Winefredo Salas. (PIA-Siquijor/RACalibo/EBApiag/TESDA-Siquijor)
